Captains Day at New Zealand Golf Club

Our best turn out of the year saw 48 members teeing off for the Captains Salver or the Captains Quaish in, once again, beautiful weather.  Clear sunny skies, fast running greens and fairways; what more could one ask.

Duncan Bateman, our Captain, was pleased to greet all the contestants with a complimentary drinks and snacks at the halfway house.  On such a hot day cold refreshing drinks were very welcome.

We were joined at lunch time by Past Presidents – David Horne and David Spence.  A real pleasure to all that they were able to join us for the usual spladid New Zealand Lunch.  Our thanks also to the Captain for providing all the wine at lunch time.
